BEe Perspective Beekeeping Class

It is the BEe Healing Guild’s goal to teach BEe Perspective Beekeeping, a treatment-free approach that honors the bees in their natural habitat. The BE of BEe is keeping bees from their perspective as Mother Earth would have them and getting the human equation out of the way.

To learn more, please join us for our 3-day class during the weekend of May 4-6, 2018. Some of the topics we’ll cover include:

  • how to maintain your bees’ diverse genetics
  • how to keep your bees healthy by using honey fermented probiotics when it is necessary to feed them (the recipe will be taught in the classroom)
  • how your bees’ own hive product can preserve them naturally
  • what diseases your bees are prone to and what to do for them when they get sick
  • why the earth’s geomagnetic lines are important for pest control and disease-resistance and where to find them
  • Lady’s book, BEe Perspective Beekeeping

Our President, Lady Spirit Moon, will teach with Lee Barnes, PhD as her co-teacher during the one day in our apiary. Lee dowses for a living and is an educator. The following is from his website:

“Lee Barnes (Ph.D. Environmental Horticulture) is an experienced naturalist and dedicated environmental activist, passionately advancing his & others awareness of the Southern Appalachian Mountains Bioregion (Katuah) through bioregional education teachings, book & magazine publications, & Land Stewardship Consulting business. Dr. Barnes combines his knowledge of natural forest communities, Sustainable Agriculture & Permaculture training with a bioregional focus & additional “awareness of place” using dowsing/biolocation techniques. Lee (1993 PDC graduate) has promoted permaculture through numerous presentations & workshops: was a founding member of the Eastern Permaculture Teachers Association.”

This class will be held at Sterchi Lodge and is within walking distance of Max Patch on the Appalachian Trail:

“At an elevation of 4,629 feet, Max Patch boasts a 360-degree view of the Appalachian Mountains including the Blue Ridge and the Smokies. The Appalachian Trail crosses the top of the grassy bald. Wildflowers bloom there in the spring and fantastic leaf color can be seen in the fall. A short hike from the parking area takes you to the top.”

Class will be held in the great room with one day to be determined in the BEe Healing Apiary.
